Mary Beth Likkel
Hey there! My name is Mary Beth Likkel. I am a bilingual (Spanish) certified birth and bereavement doula, CLC, and a mom of 2. Back then, I didn’t even know what a doula was, but I had 2 really positive birth experiences on my own. Now, I’m pumped to help others have the same kind of awesome birth adventure.
I’m super excited to support you through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, especially if you’re feeling a bit nervous about it all. I want to show you that birth doesn’t have to be scary or traumatic. It might not go exactly as planned, but it can still be a positive experience where you feel empowered and proud.
Becoming a birth doula and lactation consultant wasn’t part of my original plan, but I believe it was in God’s plan. I started my journey with DONA certification in October 2022, and within three weeks, I attended my first birth. Each birth I’ve supported has been so different and beautiful in its own way—I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s a privilege to support both men and women as they step into parenthood, and I can’t wait to see where this new calling takes me next.
Outside of birth work, I am known for being outgoing, driven, organized, and protective of those I care for and love. In my free time, I love to be outside with my husband, 2 kids, and 2 German Shepherds. I also love to bake and I am a HUGE New Orleans Saints fan (and just an NFL fan in general).
